About This Guide

The Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) offerings at Maryland University of Integrative Health provide the resources required for completion of all courses/programs within the courses/programs themselves.  This Resource List provides a variety of open access materials for PCE learners which may be useful when engaging in supplementary academic research and writing.

The resource lists presented below contain subscribed and open access resources. The resource links without a proceeding lock are open access and may be of interest to PCE learners for professional and personal pursuits.

Note: When the University is closed due to emergency and weather-related events, the Library Commons and library services are not available. School closure notices will be posted on MUIH’s homepage. Due to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Library Commons of the Sherman Cohn Library is not available for use. The current MUIH Health and Safety Plan does not permit the use of indoor common areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. 

 

- Please note the conditions for using the Library Commons:

   * We ask all users to be mindful of the study areas and the people using the spaces;

   * Refrain from eating or displaying food in the Library Commons;

   * Covered beverages are welcome;

   * Place your phone on silent and step outside for all calls;

   * Headphones are required when listening to audio.

 

The Collaborative Areas serve as a community space for learning, researching, engaging in collaborative work, quiet conversations, use of computers, and a printer/scanner/copier. Tables designated for collaborative study are labeled with a "C".

 

The Quiet Areas are between the Collaborative Areas and the Silent Areas. It serves as a space for study with minimal and low talking due to its proximity to the Silent Area. These tables are labeled with a "Q".

 

The Silent Areas and Meditation Areas are located in the rear of the Library Commons. The space contains carrels for individual study plus space for meditation, prayer, and quiet reflection. USB and electric outlets are provided within each carrel. Tables for silent study are labeled with an "S".

- The Library Commons is open all hours the University is open and includes various study spaces that may meet your learning needs.
